London, 27 October 2023 — His Grace ✠Jerome, Primus of the Old Roman Apostolate and co-founder of PSHEbrighton, attended the LGB Alliance Conference 2023 in London, an event dedicated to exposing the dangers of modern “conversion therapy” and the growing influence of transgender ideology in schools.
The PSHEbrighton delegation, led by its co-founders, was present to support one of its members, a Brighton parent, who delivered a powerful testimony recounting the experiences of four families in Brighton. Her moving account of children affected by gender ideology both shocked the audience and drew national and local media attention, with reports appearing in outlets including The Telegraph.

The testimony detailed disturbing cases, including:
- Activist teachers secretly supplying chest binders to pupils without parental consent;
- GPs prescribing cross-sex hormones to minors without informing parents;
- Children subjected to termly “gender surveys” in schools;
- Detentions issued for “misgendering” teachers.
Speaking after the event, His Grace ✠Jerome remarked:
“Our schools must not become ideological laboratories. What we heard at this conference is not anecdotal—it is systemic. Parents are being excluded, children are being exposed to harm, and educational duty is being undermined. This is a profound safeguarding failure.”
Since the conference, PSHEbrighton has been inundated with emails of support and testimonies from other parents and families. In response, the group has launched a listening exercise to document these experiences and present them to policymakers.
“This is about safeguarding, not ideology,” His Grace added. “We are determined to give affected families a platform, to challenge unsafe practices, and to ensure that education in Brighton and beyond returns to its true purpose—teaching truth, forming character, and protecting the vulnerable.”
The LGB Alliance, founded in 2019, has become one of the UK’s most prominent voices defending biological reality and resisting gender self-identification. Its 2023 conference gathered educators, campaigners, and parents to confront the escalating influence of gender ideology on children.
By attending, the Primus and PSHEbrighton ensured that the lived experiences of Brighton families were given national attention, underscoring the urgent need for reform in how schools address sex and gender.
