On this 24th of September, we joyfully commemorate the third anniversary of the priestly ordinations of Fathers Adam Sýkora, Robert Wilson, and Stanislaus Ybarra (ordained 24 September 2022).
On that day, HE ✠ Jerome of Selsey conferred sacred priesthood in the Traditional Latin Rite from the historic Clarissine Church of the Elevation of the Holy Cross in Bratislava, in a ceremony broadcast live.
- Father Adam Sýkora, PhD (Karlova) was appointed to serve the Old Roman apostolate in Slovakia. He holds a doctorate in theology from Charles University in Prague and a Master’s from the Roman Catholic Faculty of Theology of Cyril and Methodius at Comenius University, Bratislava. In addition, he has professional training in psychology.
- Father Robert Wilson, PhD (Cantab) was appointed to serve the Old Roman apostolate in the United Kingdom. He earned his doctorate in theology at Cambridge and a Master’s at Selwyn College. Father Wilson also serves as an archivist and librarian at the Bodleian Library at Oxford University.
- Father Stanislaus Guadalupe Ybarra, FMCD was ordained by HE ✠Nioclas of Movilla via letters dimissorial in Detroit, USA, under the Traditional Latin Rite. He belongs to the order of the Littlest Sons of the Sweetest Heart of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary (a congregation of Divine Charity). He holds a master’s degree from the Catholic University of America and received formation in the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception.
“Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech.” (Ps. 109:4)
We give thanks to God, who in His providence has set these men apart for the sacred ministry. May the grace they received in ordination flourish in every sacrament they celebrate, and may Our Lady, Queen of the Clergy, guard and sustain them always in fidelity and zeal.
