✠Sixth Anniversary of Episcopal Consecration: Bishop Joash Diaz Jaime

On 2 February 2026, the Old Roman Apostolate commemorates the Sixth Anniversary of the Episcopal Consecration of Bishop Joash Diaz Jaime, Episcopal Administrator of the Philippine Territory of the Old Roman Apostolate.

Consecrated to the sacred episcopate on 2 February 2020 in Cavite, Philippines, Bishop Joash received the fullness of the sacrament of Holy Order in continuity with the apostolic succession preserved by the Old Roman Apostolate at the hands of ✠Jerome Lloyd, during a pastoral visitation to the Philippine Territory as Primus of the Old Roman Apostolate. Through episcopal consecration, he was configured to Christ the Eternal High Priest as teacher, sanctifier, and shepherd, entrusted with the care of souls and the guardianship of the faith handed down.

Over the past six years, Bishop Joash has exercised this office with pastoral seriousness and fidelity, providing episcopal oversight to the growing Philippine Territory, supporting clergy in their sacramental and pastoral ministry, and fostering stability, order, and continuity within the life of the Apostolate. His ministry has been marked by a commitment to the sacred liturgy, ecclesial discipline, and constructive engagement with local communities, all directed toward the good of the faithful and the integrity of the Church’s witness.

On this anniversary, the faithful are invited to give thanks to Almighty God for his episcopal service and to pray that the grace of the Holy Ghost, bestowed in the laying on of hands, may continue to strengthen him in wisdom, fortitude, and charity. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the Apostles, Saint Joseph, and all the holy bishops of the Church intercede for him, that his ministry may continue to bear fruit for the salvation of souls and the glory of God.

Ad multos annos.
Deo gratias.
