✠ Second Anniversary of Priesting: Reverend Fathers Cobangbang & Samson
The Old Roman Apostolate gives thanks to Almighty God as we commemorate the second anniversary of the priestly ordinations of Fr Nicholas of Holy Mary (in the world Paolo Miguel Cobangbang) and Fr Marcel Maria Vianney (in the world Brandon Kelly Samson), who were ordained to the sacred priesthood on 24 February 2024.
During these past two years, both priests have faithfully exercised the sacred ministry entrusted to them: offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, administering the sacraments, preaching the Gospel, and caring for the souls placed under their pastoral care.
Fr Nicholas presently ministers to the Carmelite Tertiaries of the Holy Face, and Fr Marcel serves the faithful at Holy Hearts of Nazareth Mission Chapel, located on Loreto Street, Barangay 418, Manila, where he provides pastoral care, celebrates the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and assists in the ongoing mission of evangelisation and spiritual support within the local community.
The priesthood is a profound participation in the eternal priesthood of Christ. Through their ordination these men were configured to Christ the High Priest and entrusted with the solemn duty of sanctifying souls and proclaiming the perennial truths of the Catholic faith.
On this anniversary the Archbishop and the faithful of the Old Roman Apostolate offer heartfelt gratitude for their ministry and pray that God may continue to strengthen them in holiness, perseverance, and zeal for souls.
The faithful are invited to remember Fr Nicholas and Fr Marcel in their prayers, asking that the Lord may grant them many years of fruitful priestly service.
