✠ Second Anniversary of Diaconate: Reverend Deacon Jose M. Salcedo

On 10 February 2026, the Old Roman Apostolate gives thanks to Almighty God for the second anniversary of the diaconal ordination of Deacon Jose M. Salcedo, ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacon on 10 February 2024.

Deacon Salcedo serves at the Divine Mercy Chapel, San Mateo, Rizal, within the Philippine Territory of the Old Roman Apostolate, under the pastoral governance of its Episcopal Administrator, Bishop Joash Jaime, ORA.

A priest and a bishop pose together inside a church, both wearing traditional religious garments. The bishop holds a staff and wears a ceremonial hat, while the priest stands beside him in white and gold attire. The background features candles and an altar draped in fabric.

Through the imposition of hands and the invocation of the Holy Ghost, he was sacramentally configured to Christ the Servant. The diaconate, one of the three degrees of Holy Orders, calls a man to visible service in Word, Liturgy, and Charity. In this sacred ministry, Deacon Salcedo assists at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, proclaims the Gospel, serves at the altar, and supports the pastoral and charitable life of the faithful entrusted to his care.

Over these past two years, his faithful service at Divine Mercy Chapel has contributed to the strengthening of liturgical devotion and ecclesial life within the Philippine Territory. This anniversary is both a personal milestone and an ecclesial moment of gratitude — thanksgiving for the grace of Holy Orders and for perseverance in apostolic service.

The faithful are invited to remember Deacon Salcedo in their prayers, that he may continue to serve with humility, zeal, and steadfast fidelity to Christ and His Church.
